NDS is pleased to announce the launch of its new discussion forum! We have established this forum to enable our customers to communicate with one another and with NDS employees, to ask questions about NDS product, and to find and offer solutions to specific drainage and water management scenarios. 

There has been a lot of activity this week at NDS around the EZ-Roll Gravel Paver product. Following field research, follow-up testing, and internal discussions, NDS is moving forward with updates to the existing EZ-Roll Gravel Paver installation guidelines, as well as the accessories that are provided with each roll.

A growing body of research suggests that people’s health is positively impacted if they live nearer to a natural green environment or "green space".

Our root barrier sheet material is a popular solution to keep the roots or a tree or shrub from penetrating and weakening pavements, driveways, walls, or building foundations. We recently made a switch with out root barrier sheet material, moving from a product manufactured from HIPP to one made from HDPE (containing 50% recycled materials in both cases). The product has a similar appearance and technical performance with one important difference: the HDPE is more flexible than the previous material, and more resistant to some of the more aggressive roots, like that of bamboo.

As the cost of oil, natural gas, diesel fuel and other forms of energy see significant increases, the price of transportation and raw materials such as resin continue to escalate. While the team at NDS works vigilantly to improve operating efficiencies (for example, by investing in more efficient manufacturing tools and machinery that produce a higher quality product while using less energy and producing less scrap), we have not been able to fully offset the increased costs of manufacturing and doing business in today’s marketplace.
