Automatic Meter Reader Boxes 

Standard Commercial Grade Designed specifically for the Automatic Meter Reading industry, the newest line of AMR boxes builds on our tradition of strength, durability and value. Like our current Automatic Meter Reading products, this new line of AMR boxes and covers are injection-molded of polyolefins. Polyolefins offer superior signal transmission versus products made of concrete materials or cast iron. Our AMR boxes are also lighter in weight, which eases installation and lowers freight and handling costs. Bottom Mount AMR Covers offer the following benefits: * Concealed antennae are completely protected from landscape equipment damage and are less likely to draw attention from vandals. * Exceptional antennae signal transmissions. * Offset cavities eliminate the physical interference between antennae and meter. * Bracket accommodates a majority of the industry antennae. Top Mount AMR Covers offer the following benefits: * Recess reduces the probability of damage caused by landscape equipment and vandals. * Offset recesses eliminate the physical interference between the antennae and meter. * Recess and holes accommodate most of the industry antennae. * Compatible with many of the industry Touch Read antennae.

AMR Boxes and Covers

NDS 13”x20” AMR meter boxes and covers are injection molded of structural foam recycled polyolefin material with a melt index between 10-12. Coloring and UV stabilizers are added, along with processing lubricants when needed.
The 13”x 20” body is tapered and has a minimum wall thickness of .25”. The body has a double wall at the top cover seat area with a minimum thickness of .187”. The cover seat area has 30 structural support ribs on the underside of the seat, each with a minimum thickness of 3/16”. The bottom of the body has a 1” flange. The 12”x 17” cover has an average thickness of .250”.
