The unique, patent-pending grate closes the distance water falls from the downspout to prevent water splashing against walls; debris is blocked by the grate and slides down the sloped surface into the tray. The low-profile adapter is ideal in spaces where the depth of a traditional catch basin won’t fit. Kit includes a 9 in. Downspout Defender grate made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-profile adapter made of high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), and outlet adapter to connect to 3 in. & 4 in. sewer and drain, single-wall corrugated, triple-wall, and DWV/Sch. 40 pipes.
